Project Overview:Jiangxi Fengcheng Power Plant is located in Tonggushan area, Shishang Village, west of Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province. The plant is 8 kilometers away from Fengcheng District, about 60 kilometers away from Nanchang City, about 0.5 kilometers south of Ganjiang River, about 0.6 kilometers east of Fenggao Highway, and 2.8 kilometers north of Nanfang Cement Plant.. In an earlier accident, the wall of cooling tower # 7 collapsed to section 49. According to the design dimensions on the drawing, the height of Section 49 is 74m, with a diameter of approximately 91m, and the diameter at a ground elevation of ± 0.00 is approximately 130m. At the request of the construction unit, the 19th to 48th sections of the outer wall of the cooling tower are now being reinforced with enlarged cross-sections. In order to facilitate the passage of construction personnel and some materials up and down, a tilting construction elevator with a load of 2 tons for both people and goods is being installed

Main engineering challenges solved:

1. The inclination angle of the outer side of the original cooling tower exceeds the maximum angle allowed by the construction elevator (i.e. 15 degrees);

2. The adhesion distance is excessively long, reaching or exceeding 5.1m;

3. The original structure has been formed, and the attachment points cannot destroy the stability of the original structure
